90 Degree Opening Angle Restrictor Clips

Cabinet restrictor clips limit how far a cabinet door opens. Clip one onto the arm of a DecoBasics soft close hinge and the door stops at roughly 86–90° instead of swinging its full range — so it no longer hits the wall beside it, the handle of the door next to it, or the fridge it opens toward.

What these solve

• Door hits the wall or backsplash. A cabinet at the end of a run swings past 90° and marks the wall. The clip stops it short.
• Two doors collide. On a corner or a narrow gap, adjacent doors knock handles. Restricting both to 90° keeps them clear.
• Door blocks an appliance. Above a fridge or a range hood, a fully open door gets in the way. Limiting the angle keeps the path open.
• Door strains the hinge. A heavy door opened to its limit puts load on the cup. A restrictor keeps it inside a safer range.

• One clip per hinge. A standard cabinet door uses two hinges; fitting a clip to one of the two is usually enough to restrict the door.

Before you order

These clips are shaped for the DecoBasics hinge arm and are not a universal part. If your cabinets use Blum, Grass, Salice or another brand of concealed hinge, these will not clip on — check your existing hinge before ordering, or replace the hinge and clip together.

Common questions

How do I stop my cabinet door from opening too far? Fit a restrictor clip to the hinge. It is the standard fix and does not require replacing the hinge or drilling anything new.

Do these change the soft close? No. The damper still works normally; only the maximum opening angle changes.

Can I take them off later? Yes. The clips unclip by hand, so the door returns to its full opening angle.

How many do I need? Count the doors you want restricted, not the hinges — one clip per door is normally enough.
